I just received my first yarn sample of the month from elann.com. :woot: They sent 3 DK weight yarns and one Aran weight yarn. They are just big enough to make me want to make something, but small enough that I'm unsure what I could make. The fibers are: A:viscose/cotton, silk/linen, cotton/acrylic/visocose. B:(aran weight) cotton/acrylic/microfiber/polysester.
I'm hoping somebody could point me in the direction of a doily that just keeps going around and around until I decide to stop or run out of fiber. I was thinking of mixing the DK weight yarns to make a longer yarn. Thanks!

p.s. each sample skein is 10 yds.

A subject close to my heart. I think you should try
www.crochetpatterncentral.com
or http://ketutar.wordpress.com/2007/07/11/doilies-2/
The most comprehensive listing of doilies I have ever seen and I love doilies!!!

Why not try a dishcloth, washcloth. Thery're easy and don't take much yarn. A doily is fun too though.
