This is the Basketweave Dress from Vogue Knitting Spring/Summer 2005. It done in knitpicks Shine Sport Wheat in size 4 needles. This dress is for me. it is supposed to be a tunic style but it is a bit long on me. I mis-measured i think. Let me know what you think.

It's beautiful! The length looks a bit long for a tunic over pants, but just right if worn alone. What happens when you sit in it?

Yea it's a little long tunic length but it seems to short to wear alone. I wore it today and I got a lot of compliments but I may hem it still.

It gorgeous and I love the colour on you x

:happydance: very cute!!

I know what you meen it is a little long for a traditional tunic and a little short for a dress.
However i would still happilly wear it as a tuni, i think it looks lovely in the picture over jeans) and if i was having a confident day (and had your figure) i would wear it as a lovely short summer dress with a nice pair of sandles.
Another great FO! Are your needles smoking yet? You are a speed demon.

Beautiful! I like the length, maybe hem it a bit but I agree it looks a bit short to wear alone. :)

That is adorable!!!! I wonder if you could wear a pair of tights under it? Or maybe a pair of biking shorts thingy's?
Lovely job, as usual!

That looks fantastic! :yay: I'd want something underneath like tights or leggings, but I don't think you need them. It would be perfect for a warm summer night!

Very nice!! I like it fine over the pants. Anything goes these days. If you like it that way wear it that way, then you have the option of wearing it alone as a dress, and if it was too short you might not want to do that.

It would probably take me a year to make that. It looks great.

I love it! You are so good. And so quick! How long does it take you to make something like this? You churn out so many beautiful things.

thanks alot. this was a quick project because there were no sleeves. the back and front are done exactly the same so i keep notes so i don't have to keep measuring when i do the 2nd piece. i just keep track. so it took me about 3 weeks to do this project while doing the finishing work on my other projects.
