Hi I'm just getting started around here, I hope I can post this correctly...

Here are the finished Pumpkin and Strawberry hats I knit for my soon to be born niece. The pumpkin is from the Fiber Trends Patrick's Pumpkin pattern and the strawberry I just improvised form the other pattern. The pumpkin one I messed up a bit on the ribbing and the stem but over all I was excited about them.

Holy smokes those are too adorable !! I don't have children(yet) and my niece and nephew are too old for such things. We have friends with a baby... it's such a shame that babies outgrow all the cute stuff so quickly.

Absolutely adorable. Great job!!! That child is going to look so cute in her fancy new hats from Auntie!

it's such a shame that babies outgrow all the cute stuff so quickly.

:pout: Yes, it's sad. That's one reason I took pics of them in the outfits I liked best.

I'm in between babies and grands. The way I knit, perhaps I should start on the grands' cute things now. :knitting:

I LOVE your baby hats! I just purchased the booklet to make these, and am excited to try them...I have made the apple hat from Family Circle many times. The basic design is so easy to use for other hats such as stripes, cables, etc. I send one to Coveted Yarns and WON the baby hat contest! For the stem, I just to an idiot cord...so much easier...hope that tip works for you. My new GS is adorable in that hat!
