I spoke with the nurse in the recovery room this afternoon. My mother made it through the surgery ok.

What a huge relief off my mind. I appreciate all of the prayers and positive thoughts.

Have you lost 50 pounds from your shoulders? I'm so glad she's doing well. It's hard when your parents are sick!

Her prognosis is good at this point. She still has to recover from the surgery and undergo chemo.

Yes I'll be knitting her some chemo caps although she still has her wig from her last bought with chemo. I'm sure she'd appreciate any and all such thoughtful gestures as a sign of love and support if nothing else.
