I'm knitting the mr greenjeans sweater, I'm usuing a verrigated yarn and now that I have begun a 2nd skein of yarn I can see one is darker than the other and doesn't blend well. How is this avoided? They are all the same dye lot. Thanks for any help!

You could try knitting 2 balls at the same time, changing yarn every couple of rows.

I have found when using varigated yarn that you absolutely must use two skeins and alternate rows. Most hand painted yarns will have shade variations even in the same dyelot. Alternating skeins will also help minimize the color pooling that occurs with varigated yarns.
You may also find that when you wash the item the color evens out a bit.
