This is a big deal to me so I'm showing off a little bit :teehee:

This will be my first adult sweater (for my honey! :inlove:) and I'm adapting it rather than doing it as written

Pattern is Durrow (http://www.knotionsmag.com/Default.aspx?tabid=37&Search=durrow) by Jodi Green. Yarn is knit picks Swish Superwash, color is Capri (dh picked the color himself, this will be a cycling sweater for him next winter, and he needs to be BRIGHT - I even plan to add some glow in the dark yarn when I'm done :zombie:)

I'm not very far yet, but I have managed to start the sleeves in the round (will be a saddle shoulder, so eventually I'll have to knit the saddle part flat) AND both sleeves at the same time, on 2 circs! All of those are firsts for me and I'm so happy it's working! There was one minor issue.....I did a gauge swatch, started knitting the cuffs.......and realized that by doing both sleeves at once, I changed my gauge to a little tighter, but dh has tried on just the cuffs, and they fit snug but not too snug, and I changed one needle size up and now am getting gauge again (this being my first BIG project, I'm a bit paranoid, and find I check gauge almost every inch :aww:)

Without further ado.....here they are:

OOO la la! I love them so far! Boy, you really just plunged into this one for your first adult sweater, I love it!

And I had no idea they even HAD glow in the dark yarn. Where on earth would you find that?

Glow in the dark yarn was found first on Ravelry (just one of those things I stumbled upon!) and I bought mine at Yarn Barn, it's called Nightlights (http://yarnbarn.com/grid.asp?partNoLike=KY-FBF&startAt=KY-FBF-NLIGHT#KY-FBF-NLIGHT). It is all nylon, not very soft at all, so I plan to just duplicate stitch over a few areas (I'm thinking highlight some of the cables maybe?) and maybe on the back in a few spots (although he often wears a backpack so I'll have to see how much will show).
