search patterns by gauge?

Hi All:

My DS's preschool teacher just gave me a pair of Addi Turbo needles!!! I'm so excited I can't stand it! She can't knit anymore so we are working a trade---I finish her i-cord for the needles! How great is that!

Anyway, I am DYING to try these babies out and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can search patterns by gauge. They are size 10 needles and the cord is short, 16". I never have good luck transposing a pattern from one weight of yarn to another so I'd like to find something I can knit with size 10's or thereabouts.

I think your safest bet is an item made with bulky or chunky yarn.
I'm sure that there are patterns for those size needles using lighter weight yarns, but overall the thicker yarns will need the larger needles to knit up with good drape.
On Ravelry you can look up patterns by looking at yarn weights as well as other criteria.

You can actually use worsted or heavy worsted on size 10s, though you may get a looser knit. At thedailyknitter.com/patterns.html the needle size used is also listed.
