View Full Version : An Unexpected Surprise From a Friend

Ok…so I’m minding my own business, watching National Treasure 2 and knitting a washcloth for another knitter when I get a phone call from my friend (the gal I made the comfort blanket for).

She came over this week and let me make fresh fruit and carrot juice for her. I also gave her a hat I had made and a pair of knitted slippers, along with a bag full of magazines. She has to stay in a lot since she’s going through chemotherapy and her resistance is low.

She told me she was on her way to bring me something, and she wouldn’t tell me what.

A basket fit for a chocoholic. There's also a loaf of fresh bread...not sure what kind, but it was warm when she brought it. Plus, I’m going to use the basket to display my yarn. What a sweet lady!

What a nice gift!! :cheering: You have been very sweet to her as well, and although unexpected its always nice to have your kindness appreciated. Enjoy the gifts :)

What a lovely surprise. post a photo once you display you yarn in the basket. bet that will look really pretty.

Here's a picture of the basket with yarn in it. I have to sheepishly admit that I had a hard time selecting which yarn from my stash should be placed into this basket. I could have almost filled it up with just Lily n Cream!!!
