Here is a pattern for the prayer shawl. I have never tried it yet and when I went to read the pattern , I found there are no suggestions for needle sizes.
I am going to use a very light Alpaca yarn, what size needle should I use with this light weight yarn ??
GAUGE:
Exact gauge is not important to this project
NOTES:
Because different Knitting Ministry groups and individuals make prayer shawls in their own ways, there is a great deal of variation. This pattern gives a sample of how to make a knit or crocheted shawl. Your individual choices in yarn and needle/hook size will affect the finished size and thickness of the shawl, but there isn’t one "right" way.
Knit Version
Cast on 63 stitches or any multiple of three, such as 54, 57, or 60.
First row Knit 3, purl 3 to the end of the row.
Repeated row Turn and knit the purl stitches and purl the knit stitches.
Work about 2½ skeins in this pattern. Use the rest of the yarn for fringe, which can be from 3 inches to 9 inches long. Knot the ends of the fringes to keep the yarn from frizzing.

The skein doesn't say Gauge or needle size on it. It's from 'Peru4Less' Mystic Alpaca ,Aprox.118yards 50grs.0.110lbs and that's it.
I have done some knitting projects but have always been told what needles to use. Beginner here emoticon
Do I use circluar needles or what ? 4 or 6 size needles 10 in or more
