I am making the Daisy (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer03/PATTdaisy.html) pattern from Knitty and decided to add a hood, however two inches intot he hood i realised i dont have enough yarn.

I have knit the body of the cardigan in red with white trim and white sleeves with red cuffs. I was going to knit the hood in red so it was part of the body and continue the white trim around the edge. However i have almost run out of red yarn after only two inches when the pattern calls for 7 inches. Should i:

a) rip back to the neck edge and not have a hood.

b) rip back to the neck edge and carry on the hood in white with red trim.

c) Finish the red here and, add a white trim and bind off here creating a sort of large rolled collar?

really, all your choices sound like good options to me. If I had to pick one, I think I'd try finish the 2" collar with some white trim.

Yep, I think I'd go with option C also :o) it sounds like it's going to be really cute!
