hi all, i am making a shrug for a 2 yr old knit on a circular needle..i just picked up the stitches to do the ribbing to complete the project and there are a couple of holes, not dropped stitches...any suggestions...the yarn looks loopy...thanks, mary in portland or

It's possible that you may not have picked up enough stitches or picked them up in the wrong spot.

Or you may have done an inadvertent yarn over, wrapping the yarn over the needle to create a new stitch. Do you have more than you started with?
