hat knitting pattern

hi,
i have a skein of lovely soft yarn (100 gr. - 100 mt.) and i'd love to make a large beret like hat.
i didn't find specific patterns for this yarn, but if someone knows of one (preferably free) i'll be grateful.
it's gauge on size 9 needles is 3.5 sts=1 inch.

i found a cute pattern (http://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=109&d_id=10&lang=en), but the yarn used for this pattern seems to be...er... more "delicate" than my own.

any ideas??
