Can someone please tell me if there are double pointed needles that are better to use than others, I want something that the wool will slide easily on.

Thank You

I haven't tried them, but I've heard that the addie turbos are great... I personally love the bamboo - I'm a loose knitter - so everything slides and I've found that the bamboo helps me to keep my stitches on the needles.

Knit Pick's nickel plated DPNs are very slick.

And they don't seem to scratch like the anodized aluminum DPNs do.

I use the Knit Picks nickel-plated dpns. I'm a rather tight knitter and they're great and super pointed. So pointed that I have a callus on my right index finger. You can really stick yourself with them.

It depends on whether you're a tight or loose knitter. I, personally, find that I knit tightly in order to get uniform stitches. Others knit loosely.

If you're a loose knitter, definitely go for bamboo. Incidentally, Amazon has a set of US1-15 dpns (5 of each size) for about $23.

If you're a tight knitter like me, metal is the way to go. I don't know what I'd do without my addis!
