One of my LYS started their Superbowl Sunday sale this morning! I had seen some baby yarn I fell in love with earlier in the week and we really hoping it would be on sale ... it was ... 50% off!! It's for my first grand baby due in June - girl. Right off I saw this as a Feather and Fan blanket for her. It's mainly cotton too. I can't wait to start it, but need to make myself finish the one my DD requested first. This one will be a surprise. :)

That is really going to make a beautiful blanket. I bet it would also make a beautifil baby gown. A plain stockinette bodice with feather & fan sleeves and skirt.

Your yarn and blanket are gorgeous !! Feather and Fan baby blankets are my favorite.
I saw the Ewe Knit price tag on your yarn and said - Hey, she's in VA beach...so then I looked at your photography link your signature and OH MY GOSH you're a gifted photographer ! Sure wish I had known about you a few years ago with the hubby and I were looking to do engagement portraits.

Thanks suecq - it would make beautiful gown! I'm sure I won't have enough of it to do that too though. I'm sweating having enough for the blanket. I had decided it if wasn't 1/2 price I would get a few balls for hat and booties.
Thanks vaknitter! Where in VA are you? Ewe Knits is up for sale and if no one buys it will close by the end of March. I'm so sad. Love that store. LOL on my photography. I'm budding, just starting out and still learning lots. So I wasn't doing this a few years ago - at least not professionally - anyway. Trying to get into the Senior market. I love photographing seniors.
