Once I seen this pattern, I knew that I had to make it! My niece went crazy when she seen it as well!!
It took me some time to locate a distributor that sold the pattern without purchasing the yarn.
Last week, I surprised my niece and here she is modeling her new baby! lol
Pattern: #1 Three Quarter Length Coat and Matching Hat
Magazine: #508 Bergere' de France Knit Generation
Oh my gosh, it's gorgeous! What a fabulous gift. Lucky girl!

That is gorgeous! Instead of a coat it looks like it could be worn alone as a dress. Really cool. You did a beautiful job with it.

I started knitting on Dec. 12 2008. There were some problems reading the pattern, so I just went by the chart. Blocked twice, once after sewing seams, then I steamed blocked after adding front bands. Finally completed on Jan. 31, 2009

Thank you so very much! :muah: But I have to give credit, where credit is due! Knittinghelp.com has been a great help. Yes, I knew the basic knitting stitches. But it was not until two years ago, that I realized that there were so many different finishing techniques. So for those of you that are beginning your first project, don't give up!
