Eat a few saltines before you get out of bed, and drink a bit of 7-Up. I know, you can't stand the thought of it, but it helped me with my son. This is a site my DDIL found 'preggie pops' on. There are no studies that show they work, but there is anecdotal evidence that some women get relief with them. A gyne I worked with used the wrist pressure bracelets with some good results. You just have to keep trying until you find one that works for you.

Congrats! I'll share some of my pregnant vibes with you! I hit 14weeks yesterday (thursday). As for the nausea. Here are a few things to try!

Sea Bands. These are used for motion sickness. You can buy them at the drug store and cost around 10-15 bucks! They helped me some!

Ginger Snap cookies. Put them next to your bed, before you even get up, eat a few in the morning and drink some ginger ale or sprite.

Never allow yourself to get hungry. Even if you just have to nibble on and off all day. Turn your day into 5 smaller meals if you can. I ate even though I was nauseous b/c I KNEW if I allowed myself to get too hungry, it was over.

I hope those help you! My nausea has just gone away in the last week and a half! *hugS*

I had to do the cracker thing before I got out of bed in the mornings and sip 7up too...also those wintergreen lifesavers helped nothing else would but for some reason I could handle them and their smell :teehee:

Congrats! Wonderful news!

You might try sour candy for the morning sickness. I had it every day with both of my kids from about 6 to 15 weeks. I definitely understand!

Nah - I think Mason was being funny :) His comment goes well with one of my favorite lines from Juno - "We learned in health class that pregnancy can sometimes result in... an infant."

Congratulations!! :woohoo:

Yes - ginger is good for nausea. Wish I'd known that 24 years ago. I used ice water with fresh lemon juice. It helped cut the crud in my stomach & gently raised my blood sugar.

Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and thoughts! Boy does time fly! I only have 10 weeks left!!! Some days I am sooo exicted I cannot wait to hold my litte bundle and wish he was here now!! Other days I am so scared at how fast time is going and don't think I will ever be completely ready for him lol. I am going to try to enjoy my last 10 weeks of quiet time cloud9

I know how you are feeling! Enjoy the quiet time as much as possible. I'm 38w2d and my c-section is scheduled for Friday, August 21st at 7:30am if miss Julie doesn't make her appearance before then!
Try to get as much as rest as you can b/c as you closer the harder it is to get comfortable or to combate the swelling or indigestion/heartburn. Naps are your friend and never feel guilty for just laying around and forgoing housework!

*hugs* and best of wishes to you in your final few weeks!

I agree with everyone else on the saltines and ginger snaps.

I also would make myself a cup of weak tea and leave it covered by the bed all night. When I first woke up, I would sip the tea before getting out of bed. Helped a lot.

And soft peppermint candies helped too.
