I finally went to Knit Picky today. What an awesome shop- lots of beautiful yarn and other goodies-nice and helpful owner-Jo and staff.I got a sweater pattern to make for my 3 yr old g-daughter (still need to find a pattern for her twin brother). I am a returning beginner knitter-been making baby blankets, scarves and dish cloths. I figure I have until next fall to complete these sweaters (they live in Maine -brrrrrrrrr!!!) so I have plenty of time to ask for help and complete them before the snow flies next year. I am excited:woohoo:

Glad you liked our LYS!! I wish I could live there. If you ever want to try an adult sweater, I highly recommend the Sublime Aran hand knit book. I'm on my second sweater from the book, and I just learned to knit last summer. If you know knit, purl, cast-on, cast-off, increase, and decrease, you can knit these sweaters.
You live in a beautiful city!

Thank you. I want to make myself a sweater and my husband one sometime. I will definitely check out the book:)
