I just loved this knit! It's Amanda's Squatty Sidekick (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/amandas-squatty-sidekick) (Ravelry Link). It's knit with Paton's Soy Wool Solids in Natural. Felted in my kitchen sink. This stuff felts wonderfully and really fast (I like to leave a little stitch definition). I made the ICord on the handle about 7" instead of the 3" called for in the pattern. Finished dimensions approx 11"W x 6"H x 4"D x 21"handle.

The embroidery was done using chain stitches, and I dyed the leftover of the 2nd ball of Soy Wool using Lemon-Lime Kool Aid for the green, Pink Lemonaid Crystal Light for the light pink and Strawberry-Kiwi Crystal Light for the dark pink. My first time dying, it was really fun!

The lining was pretty fiddly. I added some interfacing because the bag was really slouchy.

You can see lots more photos and info in my Ravelry projects. Thanks for looking!

After felting, but before finishing:

What a great job, love the lining. A good lining really makes a bag and I love how it's on the handle as well.

If you can run a sewing machine, it's really not that hard! A couple of easy tutorials:

Oh, Angie! It looks awesome! I was about to ask if you'd bring it on Tuesday, but there's really awful lighting in that cafe to see it properly.

Thanks everyone!

YK, I'll be bringing it on Tuesday, anyhow. It's my summer purse of the moment :) I'll also have my garter stripe bag with me, it's been doubling as a knitting bag.
