Hi. I don't know if anyone can help me, but I am looking for a copy of the pattern "Amphora" by Jade Starmore... I am unable to find a copy of the book, but as this is the only pattern I was wanting i was hoping someone could help me out?
Thanks so much!

It's in a book A Collector's Item (http://www.virtualyarns.com/designs/backcat_coll.asp) by Jade Starmore; $50 though Virtual Yarns, available at http://www.virtualyarns.com/designs/backcat_coll.asp

It's against copyright laws for anyone to copy the pattern and give it to you. Have you tried to locate it through an interlibrary loan?

I have... they don't have it around here. And $55 (plus S&H) is way out of my price league... I was hoping maybe someones copy fell in a bucket of water and they don't want it anymore because they bought a new one...

Good luck!

You could join Ravelry (ravelry.com) and they have a book/magazine/pattern trade group.

For very similar designs, try The Celtic Collection by her mother, Alice Starmore. You can get used copies on Amazon, but I wouldn't wait. These things go very, very fast, and being out of pring, when they're gone, they're gone. AS's Scottish Collection, an 86 page paperback I bought for $14 about 15 years ago, now goes for $550, USED!
