Here is the sweater I made for my new grandson, born May 19, 2009. I didn't know how big he was going to be and wanted something he could wear right after he was born that fit pretty well. He had been threatening to come early and his sister only weighted 4-13 so I didn't know what to plan on. He weighted 7-5, so good sized baby.

I made it out of fingering weight yarn so it wouldn't be so heavy for this time of year. Maybe he'll get some use out of it on cool nights and mornings and in air conditioned buildings. :lol: But grandma had to try to make something to fit early on. ;)

That picture picks up the cables best even thought it has a busy background. I did some little patterns between the cables that show up but not so well in the pictures, just simple stuff done with rev St st broken by St st every 4th row, and some slipped stitch stuff.

The yarn is old acrylic, Brucilla Lollipop.
