What to knit with Lanas Katia?

A friend gave me 7 balls of Lanas Katia Tornasol and I am trying to find information about the yarn. I see from the band that it is 55% rayon and 45% acrylic. It's a beautiful blue and white twisted 2-ply yarn. Does anyone know anything about it? It's very thin and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. It's looks like sock weight yarn, but I'm not sure.

I've Googled for the yarn and can't find anything at all. Help? I need ideas for what this yarn is appropriate for.

I've never heard of the yarn (though that really doesn't mean much!), but given the weight and color, it sounds like it might make a beautiful lace/openwork shawl or wrap.

i have Lanas Katia "austral" which is 50%wool and 50%acrylic, and on the label it suggests size 4 or 5 needles,but i used size 3 to make socks,and they are wonderfully soft and comfy. It is made in Spain. Oh, it is also washable, tho i have not tried drying the socks in a dryer, but hang them on a wooden drying rack. hope this helps.linknit41
