I knit this blanket for my cousin's newborn baby. I wanted to make something special for him because he's a miracle baby. My cousin has had 2 second trimester miscarriages in the past and was told she'd never be able to carry a baby to term. She switched doctors, consulted specialist, had a cerclage, and 37 weeks later she gave birth to her first and only child :) on June 19th :cheering: She wouldn't let me knit anything for the baby until the beginning of June. It took her that long to feel everything would be ok.

pattern: Moderne Baby Blanket from Mason Dixon Knitting
yarns: Lion Brand Cotton Ease in Lake blue, Taupe brown, Snow white and Stone grey
needle: US 7 Addi turbo
modifications:
1. in block 9, I knit 36 ridges instead of 54
2. in part of block 10, I picked up and knit 132 stitches instead of 150
3. instead of the garter stitch mitered border, I crocheted 3 rows of single crochet
