Phew! Finally done!

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3464/3988675263_5db8cc080e.jpg

Pattern: Calluna (http://www.knitpicks.com/Calluna+Cardigan+Pattern_PD50727220.html) by KnitPicks Design Team
Yarn: City Tweed HW (http://www.knitpicks.com/City+Tweed+HW+Yarn_YD5420183.html)
Color: Dungarees (http://www.knitpicks.com/kpimages/Yarn_Color_Detail/24533.png)
Skeins: 9.5

Made some modifications. Sleeves have a garter cuff, and they are longer.
One extra "cable ring". Collar is slightly different, and a bit longer.

Fits perfectly! I was doubtful that it would look good on me!
But, even though I have no waist these days, it actually makes me look like I have a waist! Yay!

I used vintage mother-of-pearl buttons from my husband's
antique collection of odds'n'ends!

I made some improvements to the pattern, such as a better way to lead off the cables from the g. stitch hem to PREVENT SERIOUS PUCKERING...and better buttonholes, etc....and if you'd like to read about them, visit my Ravelry folder. All the details are all there! ARTLADY'S CALLUNA! (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/ArtLady/calluna-cardigan)

Oh, my. It is wonderful! Such a feminine cardigan -- I love the gentle flare over the hips. And of course, your mods have made it even better. Lovely work, as always.

Love, love love it.

What sizes does it go up to? I think it might give me a waist too! Is it suitable for 5'3'' 48" bust do you think?

I have been to the Web site to try to buy a download of the pattern, but for some reason it will not let me register or buy as a guest, possibly because of the overseas address. I have had no trouble buying patterns through KnittingDaily though. This is the work computer and maybe something needs to be unblocked??

I WANT CALLUNA!!! Have had a look at Rav and Artlady, your notes are amazing.

Lovely, lovely work Artlady!! Knowing all those little tricks like what to do to avoid the "cable pucker" really adds a lot of polish. Your yarn is lovely (it looks like you are going to work your way through the whole KnitPicks color range of this yarn--I know you've said it is your new favorite) and I'm itching to try some of it. Beautiful sweater.

Thanks again, Judy!

Oh, and I forgot to say: I also made the TWIST cardigan (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/ArtLady/twist) using Snowshoe! I really do love this City Tweed HW yarn!

I think I've knit about 12,000 yards of it so far, in different colors of course! Oy!

It's a great mid-range priced yarn. Not cheap, not expensive, but it's quality rivals any high-priced yarn in its category!

Stunning, just lovely! I could never even imagine doing something so wonderful.

As I stared at it (a whole lot), both on you and off, a thought came to me: what a lovely bridal jacket this would be if made in white, for a new bride. You think? (I have seen many a shivering bride, during her outdoor photo shoots).

Oh yes, you are so right! It would make a lovely bridal jacket in white! What a unique idea! Thanks for your input, Woodi! You have a lot of imaginative ideas and a way of seeing things in another light!
