Shedding Yarn

Hello everybody,

How do you eliminate yarn shedding?
I just finished a huge feather and fan shawl knitted with LambsPride, a combination of lamb and a little bit of mohair. I didn't think about the shedding and it was pretty annoying to wear it for the first time over a purple coat that ended up full of shedding!

I've read to put it in the freezer or in the dryer. Tried the first and didn't work, and I am little bit afraid of the dryer. Any ideas?

I don't think a freezer will really help, but I haven't tried it. It usually lessens after several washings, but some yarns just do that and you may have to get used to it. :shrug:
