Hi!
I find it easy to find different lace patterns on the internet, but I'm having a hard time finding cable stitches.
What I want most for the moment is TONS of cables to play with. I would be so grateful if you could share some. Does anyone maybe know of a site with numerous of patterns? :)
Thanks!

If you have a nearby library, see if they have any of the stitch pattern books or can order them from other libraries. Harmony guides and Stitchionary both have a book dedicated to cables. My library has both and I often check them out when on the hunt for cable ideas.
also, lionbrand.com has a stitch finder section.

Hello again.
I'm so lousy on diagrams... Could anoyone help me translate to text? :)
(Like "Row 1: P3, sl 2 next sts to cn and hold in back" and so on)
Thanks!

I don't know if you're still looking for that diagram to be translated to text, but from what I can tell, there are 12 stiches in the cable pattern, which appear to be knitted on a background of perls. I think it goes a little something like this:
CO 20 st
Row 1 (RS): p4, k12, p4.
Row 2 (WS): k4, p12, k4.
Row 3 p4, k3, slip 3 st to cn and hang to back, k3, k3 from cn, k3, p4.
Row 4: As row 2.
Row 5: As row 1.
Row 6: As row 2.
Row 7: p4, slip 3 st to cn and hang forward, k3, k3 from cn, slip 3 st to cn and hang forward, k3, k3 from cn, p4.
Row 8: As row 2.
Repeat rows 1-8 to continue the braid.

Hi, and thank's!
It's all sorted out now, I've got help a little earlier, but thank's anyway. :aww:
By the way you're all right about the pattern, it goes like this:
"Cast on 16 sts.
Row 1: k2, p12, k2
Row 2: p2, k3, sl 3 to cable needle (cn) & hold in back, k3, k3 from cn, k3, p2
Row 3: k2, p12, k2
Row 4: p2, k12, p2
Row 5: k2, p12, k2
Row 6: p2, [sl3 to cn & hold in front, k3, k3 from cn] twice, p2
Row 7: k2, p12, k2
Row 8: p2, k12, p2
Repeat rows 1-8 for braided cable pattern."
And that is the exact same result so... :)
