Hi all!
I thought I'd share my latest FO.
This is my second Shetland Shorty. It's a free pattern available here (http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer08/PATTshetlandshorty.html).
I made it for one of my students who had admired the first one I made for myself.
I used 1.8 skeins of SWTC Bamboo. The colorway is Black. I made the small size.
I cast on when we left for our Thanksgiving cruise and worked on it throughout my seven-night vacation (thank you, in-law's, for paying for this trip!).
The shrug visited Grand Turk...

Puerto Rico...

And St. Thomas (no picture for this island...we were too busy that day!!).
I stayed up until 1:30am this morning to finish it up. My daughter took these pictures of me modeling it...

It only took me a couple of weeks to knit. It shouldn't have even taken this long as the pattern is easy, but life is busy, and I had to work on it whenever I had a few spare minutes.

I'll be gifting this tomorrow, and I can't wait! This student and I have a special bond, which I consider a blessing considering that I'm not a regular teacher but just a sub!
Thanks for looking!! :muah:
