View Full Version : Nearly F.O.: Test Knitting Aragorn Scarf

This is SO beautiful, I'm test knitting it on Ravelry. It's fun and even my husband is impressed.
I'm much further along on the project but wanted to share. The Ravelry project page is here (http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Arielluria/test-knit-aragorn-scarf) for updated pictures.
The yarn is Swish DK in Beach Glass colorway. Needle size 6. Upcoming are hat test knits (full) and fingerless gloves and lots of other stuff to match I think, so visit my project page for a link to the designer and the test knit thread.

Well doggone it! I love your scarf SO MUCH...I went on over to Rav...paid for the PDF, printed the pattern, and then rummaged through my stash! Found two colorways that I've had for centuries (purchased on a whim at the State Fair)...and have been searching for just the right pattern!
Thanks a lot, you enabler you! :teehee:

:woot: I know, ain't it great?!? Same thing happened with my yarn, I had bought it because hubby lost a bet but had no idea what to do with it, and it was perfect! Knitpicks Swish DK in Beach Glass colorway.

BTW, have you seen the hat? I'm test knitting (http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/free-pattern-testers/947398/1-25) it too. And there is apparently lots more coming, including fingerless gloves, etc.

Yes, I looked all through her designs! And her website!
The hat is adorable.
What is "test knitting"? (She's put the design up-for-sale on Rav)

Is this your pattern or are you doing it for someone else?
If you are, I'd like to know how you went about getting this job. I'd like to do the same, but I don't know how to get started.

It's someone else's. Find "open" patterns needing testers at the Free Pattern Testers group (http://www.ravelry.com/groups/free-pattern-testers). There are other pattern testing groups there, but I find this one the most organized!
