i am making BELLA'S MITTENS and the pattern reads:
With US#8 circular, cast on 43 stitiches and join the the round using the magic loop method..........what is the magic loop method please?

Magic Loop is a method of knitting in the round using one long circular needle. There is a video here on KH that demonstrates how to do it, click here to check it out! :thumbsup:

You can also use a single loop version instead, some people find that easier to manage.

Magic Loop (ML) is a way to knit in the round with one long cable attached to 2 needles rather than using double pointed needles (DPN).

I prefer a longer cable myself and use a 32" or longer. The links given should help you, if not post here again and I can give you some more.
