Ending a hat

Hi,
I am just about finished with my simple hat and i just realized that the pattern calls for a darning needle for the end. It says once i have four stitches on each needle i need to switch to a darning needle to finish it up. The problem is i don't have a darning needle nor do i know how to darn. is there a way i can finish it using just my double point needles? if so how?

Thanks!

I use a crochet hook to pull the tail through the sts, but you could probaby use the needle tip.

what she said.

all you need to do is pull the yarn end through the remaining stitches. any method is fine.

you can also just knit every stitch and then pull on the new loop that you created until the end pulls through. Then knit the next stitch, do the same... until all stitches are off your needles.
