If you don't know what Groupon is, everyday they offer a new featured deal. When enough people "buy"/agree to use the coupon, then everyone gets the deal. For example with this one, before anyone could get the 50% off, 50 people had to agree to use it. They do some really great deals on spa services and restaurants. Also, they have them for lots of cities, not just Washington, DC.

Too bad I'm not still there on vacation! My daughter used to knit, but doesn't have time anymore unfortunately. Hope you get something good!

When I saw "DMV," I immediately thought of the "Department of Motor Vehicles." (And I've spent PLENTY of time knitting there!!)
