Scarf For a Friend
 

I'm knitting a scarf for a friend - http://www.mielkesfarm.com/oldshale.htm

I'm using Sunbeam Alaska yarn left over from a ski jacket someone knit her - she has donated the jacket to charity, but liked the look of the scarf so far.

Yes, I thought the pattern was pretty too. My friend mentioned paying me for it, but I think I'll suggest she puts the money into the archery club funds which she and her husband run.

Well, I finished the scarf and will post a photo asap. The colours are bright blue, white, red, yellow and green. I have some yarn left over - possibly enough to knit a hat.

I did make a mistake with the pattern early on, but had quite a bit done by the time I realized it and didn't feel like frogging.

The yarn is quite difficult to work with, but the feel of the finished article is lovely!
