Seaming-garter stitch
 

Hi,
My grandmother used to make these knee socks and I found the pattern. The problem is in the seaming. The whole "sock" is knit in garter stitch.
What is the best way to seam these.
I tried to post the picture, but the jpeg is too large.

P.S. will the mattress stitch work with garter stitch?

It will never be completely invisible, but there are ways to do it. Here's the websites I used to help me through it.

Thank you so much! I'm going to take out the seam and redo the blue socks. I have a pair of white ones ready to block and then I will try this garter stitch seaming!
