Trouble w/ yarn moving onto needle from circular bamboo needles

I am having difficulty with a particular scraggly yarn moving easily from the circular part of the needle to the needle itself. Am using bamboo circulars?

Any suggestions?

It may be that you have a slight bump at the join between the needle and the cable. Usually you can feel this and some yarns seem particularly sensitive and so snag at this point. I think it makes knitting miserable.
You might try another kind of needle, just for the different join. I don't think the bamboo itself is really the problem.

has anyone else experienced this problem? Would welcome comments - what needles you had - what type of yarn. Thanks.
