Question about Pattern: Diamonds in Columns
 

Hi there! I'm having some trouble with the diamonds in columns pattern and was wondering if anyone could help me out please :)

In Row 5 it says: Knit 2, *[purl 1, knit 1] twice, purl 1, knit 3; repeat from * to last 7 stitches, [purl 1, knit 1] twice, purl 1, knit 2

I"m not exactly sure how to work the [purl 1, knit 1] twice. Does that mean to purl 1, knit 1 and then purl 1, knit 1 again over only 1 stitch?

It's purl 1, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1 for the sts in brackets. These are all separate sts, not done into one st.
