ten stitch blanket
I would like to try the ten stitch blanket and have figured out all the stitches except the very first line of the pattern. Please help. It says:
Cast on 10 stitches. Slipping all first sts, knit 9 ridges (18 rows) I don't understand. Do you slip all 10 stitches at once? how do you then make the 9 ridges (18 rows)? I'm very confused but really want to try this blanket. |
What it means (but could have said much better) is that for every row of this section, you slip the first stitch and knit the rest.
Row 1: Slip the first stitch, Knit all the rest Row 2: Slip the first stitch, Knit the rest etc........ Until you have however many rows you need. You only slip the FIRST stitch of every row. hth, knitcindy |
It means to slip the first stitch every row.
