Is the yarn used to join granny squares important?
 

Hi all,

I have just finished the squares for my patchwork afghan in noro taiyo yay! But now I am going to start joining the squares and I am wondering if it is necessary to use the same yarn I knitted with which is the noro taiyo. I'm only asking because I only have one skein left of the taiyo yarn which I was supposed to use for the border.

In short can I use another yarn to join the squares? Or should I search for another ball of taiyo?

It should be similar, both in weight and fiber content.
