What is heathered yarn?

Im just curious, what is heather(ed) yarn?

What sets it apart from non-heathered?

Heathered yarn is not a completely solid color. It has bits of other color and often it's a variation of the main color.

Heathered yarn is like a blurred, grayed version of any color or color combo. It's like the fabric or yarn is worn.\

Think of it like a woman with subtle highlights in her hair.
