How to Knit Single Row Stripes on DPNs

How do I knit single row stripes with two colors, constantly changing off? Do I have to cut all the little ends?

Thanks all.

No cutting. Just drop the one yarn and knit with the other. Bring the new yarn under the one you're stopping to carry it up the inside and it will twist when you work the next row.

Since you'll end up at the beginning of round, you just change the colors there and carry up the unused one to change on the next round.

You may notice that you get a little jog in the stripe at the point where you finish a round and start the second color. That's because you knit a spiral when you're knitting in the round. Here's a video that may help in avoiding that little jog.
