Help Interpret a Pattern Instruction

I need some help interpreting a pattern instruction!

K4, *p2, [k1 p1] 3 times; rep from * to last 5 sts, p1, k4

I'm having trouble with the "3 times" part. So, does that mean:

a. p2,
k1 p1
k1 p1
k1 p1
repeat until last 5 sts,

-or-

b. p2
k1 p1
p2
k1 p1
p2
k1 p1
repeat until last 5 sts

??

This is correct. So it'll be like this -

p2,
k1 p1
k1 p1
k1 p1

p2,
k1 p1
k1 p1
k1 p1

repeat to the last 5 stitches

Whew, I did it right then! I probably should have asked before I did that row, hehe. Thank you!

You're welcome!
