Grain Stitch

I am new to knitting socks. I found this lovely pattern, but I don't understand the pattern. Pattern as follows:

rounds 1 and 3-knit.
round 2 -YO,K2,pass yo over k2.

Does this mean the yo is slipped over the 2 stitches just knitted?

I would appreciate help any of you could give me.

Yes.

It is just like a PSSO, except you are passing the YO st over 2 sts.
