Is there a Knit equivalent to the Crochet Broomstick Lace Stitch/Pattern?:shrug: :??

Are you thinking of this pattern for the Cactus Lace scarf? http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cactus-lace When I saw it in the other thread, I did some googling to learn about broomstick lace. The picture of the scarf is kind of small but I thought it looked a lot like a garter stitch and dropped stitch pattern. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/libr...ch-drama-scarf The broomstick lace looks really interesting but I thought a very similar effect could be achieved with dropped stitches more easily.

You could probably get the same effect alternating 3 rows of garter stitch with a drop stitch row.
