Welcome to KH!
This is all part of one sequence of stitches. The yarn forward is a yarn over, so do a yarn over, then knit the next 2sts and pass the loop formed by the yarn over, over the last 2 knit sts.
Theere's a video on the Glossary page for yarn over if you'd like to see it in action.

Interjecting a question here...................why don't they just call it a yarn over, if that's what it actually is??? Why use the more confusing "yarn forward" at all??

Is "yarn forward" used by British pattern writers? Or some other country??

Thanks!

Yes, patterns from UK commonwealth countries describe how you move the yarn when doing a YO, rather than just calling it by the result - a yo.
