Help! Trying to decode instuctions

Hello,
I am knitting my first sweater in the round and am stumped by an instruction for a decrease. I get that it is for decreases on a single round but I'm not sure what the numbers refer to. I start with 114 and end up with 112 so I'm only decreasing 2 stitches. Here is the instruction:
" dec 2-2-0-2-2-0 sts evenly on round"
Thanks for any help with this

dec 2-2-0-2-2-0 Means that you decrease that many stitches for your size, the first # being the smallest up to the largest. So if you're making the first, second, fourth or fifth size, you'd decrease 2 stitches; no decreases for the third or largest size.
