Pattern Help!
Good morning everyone!
I am starting a new baby blanket but am having a hard time establish where i need to place my markers as far as the pattern repeats. It is the Little Boy Blue Blanket from Caron...I have posted the first 3 pattern rows and a link to the pattern. I am new to using stitch markers and this pattern is throwing me for a loop...any help would be greatly appreciated! Rows 1 and 5: K5, *(p1, k1) 4 times, k1, p2, k4, p2, k9, p2, k4, p2, k2; rep from * 3 times more, (p1, k1) 4 times, k4. Rows 2, 4, 6, and 8: K5, *(p1, k1) 4 times, p1, k2, p4, k2, p9, k2, p4, k2, p1, k1; rep from * 3 times more, (p1, k1) 4 times, k4. Row 3: K5, *(p1, k1) 4 times, k1, p2, C4B, p2, C6B, k3, p2, C4F, p2, k2; rep from * 3 times more, (p1, k1) 4 times, k4. http://www.caron.com/projects/ss/ss_..._boy_blue.html |
It looks like the repeat is 36 sts. So after the first 5 sts place a marker and then count off groups of 36sts, placing a marker after each 36. You might also use a different color marker either side of the cables until you establish the pattern and can easily see the cable cross. Very pretty blanket!
