In need of
 

A really beautiful open lace pattern for a scarf about 8-10 inches wide and at least 60 inches long, and have looked on ravelry and cannot find one that has a pattern. Can anyone help? I will be using light fingering yarn, finer than baby yarn.

I think I go look at places like the knitting fool and other sites that have lace patterns, or look in books, find one I like, figure out the cast on for the repeats, and just knit until I either got to the length I want, run out of yarn, or just get sick of it.
