Switching from Circular needles to regular needles?
Hi! I am new to knitting, and I am knitting an infant hat. I am currently knitting circular needles, but I need to switch to regular, as it is getting too tight on the circular. How do I make the switch, and continue knitting in the round with straight needles??? Thank you!!!

Do you mean switch to double ended needles? You can't knit in the round with regular straight needles because of the knob on the nonpointed end. If you do mean double points, just use one in the R hand and knit some of the stitches with it, then add another and another until all the stitches are on them. If you don't have dpns, then you can use another longer circular and do magic loop with it, or use 2 circulars and knit half the sts on each one. Just start knitting with the new needle.

There are lots of videos for all the ways that Sue mentions. If you go to YouTube and look up "knitting with double pointed needles" and "knitting using two circular needles" and "magic loop knitting," you will find lots of great videos to show you how to do all three.

Good luck!
