FO: Wedding Shawl for DGD
The pattern (Weekend Shawl) is very versatile. You can use different weights of yarn, and the designer has instructions for their use.

I used a two-ply mohair/gold filament, purchased at a few years ago.
It's very pesky to work with, but it is what it is.

I had to disregard her directions on how many rows to knit of the plain (increasing) top-down st st, as well as how many repeats to work of the Saturday Lace (and then lastly Sunday Lace, that follows at the very end.) I just had to keep knitting until I achieved the lengths I thought were necessary, also keeping in mind that blocking will increase length as well. sigh

There were 349 stitches on the needle when the Saturday Lace commenced. Ugh

Here it is, drying on the blocking table. I'm glad it is done. I'm gifting it to my DGD at her girls only bridal shower on June 29. Wedding July 20. I'm not going to call it a Wedding Shawl when I give it to her because I don't want to obligate her to use it in the evening on July 20. But she'll love it for any dress-up occasion.
She's a very appreciate granddaughter.

I'm sure there are mistakes hiding in there somewhere, but I'm not taking a microscope to find 'em.
Don't want to find 'em. :eyes:

Amazing, ArtLady! How'd you get that spider to do all that?

LOTS of work to that, but I'm sure she'll appreciate it.
