FO's: gifts for granddaughters

My granddaughter, Celeste, is graduating 8th grade. I knit this scarf for her as a gift. Oh my. What a labor of love. Thought I'd never get done! It's Rowan Kidsilk Haze. One ball knit up 47" long and 6" wide, unblocked. And I'm leaving it that way. I like the crumbly look for her. She's a girly girl, and she loves pink. I added light pink glass beads to each end.

And my oldest graddaughter is getting married in July. This shawl is for her bridal shower gift, along with some special fingertip towels that I crosstitched for her as well.

Such beautiful, light and airy knitting! I love the scarf and shawl.
The hand towels are a lovely idea too. Perfect graduation and shower gifts.

What lovely gifts! They remind me of the things my grandmother used to make for me. She was quite handy with a needle and thread. She made doilies and did needle point. I have fond memories of her, always with some project or another in her hands. I still treasure her handmade gifts, even after her passing. I am sure your granddaughters will treasure your gifts for years to come too.

Absolutely gorgeous--even if they did derail a sweater--ahem--several times!

They are all beautiful! Your granddaughters will love them! Is that yarn difficult to work with? I haven't used Kidsilk Haze, but I have used Elann's Super Kydd. It was very "sticky," which made correcting mistakes almost impossible!
