Avoided a disaster!!

So I am merrily knitting along, doing a simple garter stitch scarf, and suddenly dropped a stitch at the very end of the row. I was baffled at how to fix this, but was determined to save the work, which was already 4-5 inches long at this point. So, without delay, I went straight to my computer and straight to here. After a quick search and some of the trusty help videos, I decided that my best bet was to go back a row, so I did, and managed to save my work!!

Talk about a sigh of relief!! I would have been devastated if I had to frog the work. Needless to say, I am very proud of myself for not doing that very thing. :woohoo:

Good for you! Sometimes the most efficient thing to do is frog some rows but many times, you can save the project with minimal work. Glad you caught it in time.

Yea! Sometimes I'll drop the end stitch off the left needle before I work it and can just put it back on the needle. It took me a while to figure out that easy fix and then it seemed so obvious. Every little thing we learn makes our knitting more enjoyable and a little easier. Good for you!
