Coaster? LOL My 2nd FO

I modified a dishcloth pattern to make a coaster to match the dishcloth. My first real experience with purl stitch. :cheering:

Wow! Your stockinette looks really good! That's really pretty.

Perfect! Great alteration of a pattern, too.

At this rate, you'll be ready to tackle a sweater in no time!

A sweater is a scary thought lol! An Afghan maybe. A scarf. Lol. I'll get there. I want to learn some more stitches first.
Thanks to both of you!

How cute! Congratulations on mastering the purl stitch! You are well on your way to becoming a great knitter!

Grandma's Favorite Dishcloth is a great pattern. You can learn and get used to yarn overs (yo) for increasing and then work on doing decreases. It's versatile too. Use it to make a dishcloth or washcloth or make it bigger and make a blanket, work just the first half and then bind off and you have a triangular shawl. There are lots of other patterns you can use to practice all kinds of stitch patterns. It's kind of fun really.

I'll take a look at that pattern, GG. I'm working on a scarf and another wash cloth (different pattern) but I'm already collecting patterns!
